So what's up with the random soind distortion ? Why no real fix yet?

Hiya!

Got my Forte ~6 months ago and using it in a new Z68/i7/7x64 setup... even with the latest drivers I get the random sound distortion thingie, like there is an irq/dma conflict or something from the old ISA days...
I followed some advice here and have a fan blowing at the card to prevent heating but that does not really help...
I found that disabling crystalizer fixes the distortion (you can enable it again after) but it just sucks. I had 2 creative PCI (real) x-fi cards in the past, none had this problem ever...

Will there be a real solution to this or auzen just abandoned the card for good?
