This forum should not force subject lines
When somebody replies to a thread, it looks like an issue of Readers' Digest because if they leave the subject line blank, it takes their first few words and makes them the subject in big letters. I have never seen this done before. It's redundant and makes for interrupted reading.
Normally forums do an empty subject line if nothing was entered.

Agreed. So, subject behavior has been changed -- see the Subject of this post. You can still type a different subject than the automatic offering.
